Popular Filipina singer Charice Pempengo, known as Charice, has been featured on the 'Oprah Winfrey Show' three times due to insistent public demand. Winfrey referred to her as "the most talented girl in the world".
On May 18, 2009, 17-year old Charice Pempengco appeared for the third time in the Oprah Winfrey Show. Her previous appearances in the world’s most popular talk show were received with standing ovation.
Charice is Oprah’s favorite young singer. The talk show host must have been mesmerized by Charice’ magical voice, so she asked the famous musical genius and producer David Foster to serve as Charice’s mentor.
Since then, Charice and Foster seem inseparable as they make music together.
Mb.com reports:
Charice has an amazing and impacting voice to ever come out from a very young 17-year-old, and she is now 100% taken under the wings of David Foster as her mentor. Charice truly has gone so far in a very short time with her astounding talent. And with a “Note to God,” she is truly blessed with great things as her message reaches the heavens because she is now signed to Warner Brothers Records in the US as its newest international artist
In January this year, Charice was invited to perform at the Presidential inaugural gala and the Martin Luther King, Jr. The Dream Gala. In both events she received standing ovations.
Some of Charice’s major awards and recognitions as a song artist include
