After 14 grueling years of anticipation, the Orlando Magic by virtue of a 103-90 win over the LeBron James-fueled Cleveland Cavaliers, will once again set foot at the grandest basketball stage of them all.
The Magic closed out the series 4-2 against the NBA's best regular season team.
In front of a crowd of 17,461 at the famed Amway Arena, the Magic gave their home court fans a great reason to cheer -- the heartbreak kids now has a legitimate chance in going all the way and winning the coveted Larry O'Brien trophy.
Dwight Howard, arguably the best center to roam around the NBA in recent memory, displayed yet another mammoth-like performance, registering 40 points, 14 rebounds and most importantly making his presence felt inside the shaded lane.
Conversely, Rashard Lewis and Mickael Pietrus added 18 and 14 points apiece and combined for 7 of 14 shooting from beyond the arc.
On the Cavalier's side, James led the way with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists but the numbers alone cannot erase the fact that they were simply outclassed by the determined Magic squad.
The Magic grabbed the lead early on and never did they look back.
They had overwhelmed the highly-favored Cavaliers all series long with their persistence, 3-point shooting and physical plays.
The Magic will have a much needed 5-day rest before going against the L.A. Lakers.
