Susan Boyle has threatened to quit the show, Britain's Got Talent, in the wake of the pressure that has surrounded her resulting to the two incidents in her hotel, one involving the cops.
Following her two previous meltdowns, Susan Boyle has threatened to quit Britain’s Got Talent because she can’t handle the pressure that has been following her ever since her rendition of ‘I Dreamed a Dream’. After swearing at the T.V. screen when a rival contestant was praised by her favorite judge, and at journalists who harassed her, she was pushed at the verge of quitting. However she has been talked into staying on the show despite her encounter with the police, yesterday, reports Jen Blackburn from The Sun
Also, Piers Morgan who offered Susan Boyle her first kiss, spoke in her defense in his blog, “Imagine, if you will, being anonymous for 47 years of your life, and then suddenly being propelled into genuine world superstardom.
"But let me tell you now, there is a downside to fame. People start criticising you, sniping at you, trying to trip you up, belittle you, harass you.”
“And my heart absolutely bleeds for the poor woman.”
He added that the “incredibly bitchy comments exploding all over various websites about her behaviour” made him “very, very angry”. He said that, "I’m not saying she’s a Saint. But I am saying that before all this fuss, Susan was generally considered by everyone who met her to be a genuinely lovely person. Albeit, one with a lively, feisty character, and a wonderfully eccentric sense of humour.”
He went on to add that Susan “was deprived of oxygen during her birth, and that left her with ‘learning difficulties’, causing her to be called ‘Simple Susan’ at school.”
"Susan is finding it very, very difficult to cope, and to stay calm. "She has been in tears many times during the last few days, and even, fleetingly, felt like quitting the show altogether at one point and fleeing all the attention."
“Let the increasingly unpleasant bitching and carping stop, right now. Please. She doesn’t deserve it.”
