The BBC has axed their citizen journalism program, 'Your Story.' The program started in June 2008. The reason is simple, a lack of funding.
The program will be stopped at the end of this June. While the program has finished BBC will continue to have citizen generated content in the BBC World Service.
The World Have Your Say blog will still be open for comments about current news stories. Photos and videos will also still be accepted by citizens around the world.
Journalism.co.uk reports:
"It's sad, but funding priorities make it so," senior broadcast journalist, Nina Robinson, who ran the service, told Journalism.co.uk.
