An explosion outside a Starbucks in Manhattan woke residents on Third Avenue and 92nd Street at 3:30 a.m. Monday morning.
There is a history of other low-order explosions outside of
Starbucks nationwide according to Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
The early-morning explosion blew out some windows. The store did not receive any outside damage.
It appears the explosive was on a bench outside of the Starbucks.
The building above the Starbucks is a residence and it was evacuated as a precaution.
There are no injuries reported from the blast.
There will be bus diversions in the area of the explosion.
