A new Egyptian fatwa has proclaimed that the origin of all the existing pigs in this world is Jews because they are the one cursed by almighty Allah.
According to a news report, Egyptian Waqf ministry has issued a new fatwa which reportedly states that existing pigs in this world are originated from Jews as they are cursed by Allah. Sheikh Ali Osman, a religious scholar from the ministry, has published this edict, as reported by a Jordanian newspaper.
The newspaper has quoted him saying that it is permissible to slaughter all the pigs as they have Jewish roots. Sheikh Ali Osman has also said due to Jewish origin consumption of pork meat is restricted in Islam.
According to him a person who consumes pork is equivalent to one who consumes another "impure person." Osman has reportedly said that his new fatwa has been supported by the heads of al Azhar. However, they are afraid to declare it publicly, he added.
Osman also said he is waiting for a response from al Azhar fatwa committee to get an official approval for his new edict.
