The hot new sport is volcano boarding, created by a group of thrill seekers. This sport takes extreme sports to a hot new level.
The thrilling new sport to look out for is called "volcano boarding", developed by a group of adrenaline addicted thrill seekers.
As reported by ANI:
In the sizzling sport, participants race at speeds of upto 50mph down the sides of an active volcano. They are equipped with protective jump suits, knee-pads and helmets. From the foothills of Nicaragua's Cerro Negro mountain, they climbed 726 metres to surf down on specially constructed plywood boards.
Cerro Negro appeared in April 1850 and is Central America's youngest volcano. It has been one of the most active volcanos, but its unstable reputation did not stop Philip Southan, owner of Bigfoot Hostel and Green Pathways Tours, which developed the sport. "The volcano is very active. But the biggest risk is the risk is getting some scratches if you fall off. What we offer is a tour for everyone with absolutely no experience necessary, he said.
"One of the greatest attractions of the tour is that you get a bit of everything. Nicaraguan rural culture, hiking, amazing views, walking in an active volcano and then of course the high adrenaline boarding down the volcano."
The sport has already attracted over 10,000 participants, so if the cold waves of the sea just aren't cutting it for you anymore, try Volcano Boarding.
