According to the Today Show interview with one of Casey Anthony's attorneys, new concerns have been raised about the Anthony case, including whether or not Casey can't get a fair trial in the area of Florida where she lives. The local media coverage in Orlando, Florida has been biased, according to Linda Kenney Baden, who has been on the case as one of the defense attorneys since December 11. She said, after a death penalty case against Casey Anthony was asked by the prosecution, the defense asked for specifics about why the change had been made but haven't received any information.
The defense wonders whether or not the prosecution is pandering to the public. According to Baden, Anthony is doing the best she can to manage her emotions while in jail in Florida pending a trial for killing Caylee who went missing in June 2008 and whose body was found in December.
There have been many details revealed about this high profile case since Caylee was first reported missing. George Anthony, the grandfather, attempted suicide. Caylee's funeral brought an outpouring of emotion shown on television in January. A case of a mother killing her own child is seen as rare enough to pique plenty public interest.
Some investigators have been following this case since it first broke in the press.
In the meantime, while the prosecution continues to release details from time to time, the defense, according to reports, wonders if they have any case at all while they declare Casey Anthony won't get a fair trial in Orlando, Florida.
The Orlando Sentinel has an entire section on its front page online devoted entirely to this case.
