It seems the American Administration of Barrack Obama is intent on developing a two state solution to the Israel and Palestinian issue, with or without Israel's acceptance.
Ya'acov "Ketzele" Katz is the chairman of the National Union party in the Israeli Likud or Parliament. Katz has sent a letter to Rahm Emanuel the white House Chief of Staff for Barrack Hussein Obama.
The letter draws a parallel between Emanuel and the biblical Esther who used her position of influence to save Israel from King Ahashverosh of the Persian empire.
The letter was prompted by a conversation with an unnamed Israeli American Jewish leader, relating the insistence of Emanuel that a two state solution would be performed in the next four years with no regard for who the Prime Minister is.
As reported in the Jerusalem Post Katz reminded Emanuel he is Jewish and should be willing to at least present the opinion of the Jewish leaders and use his influence to guide the discussion in a direction as presented by Jewish leaders.
One quote from the letter was offered.
"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?" Katz wrote, quoting from the Book of Esther (4:14).
At this time the primary means of communication between Obama and Netenyahu of Israel appears to be in public speeches. In the speech President Obama gave in Turkey during his recent Overseas Tour some hints were given to indicate Obama would continue with the policy first adopted by former President George W Bush.
As reported in Haaretz President Obama is going to insist on the two state solution and it will be implemented despite objections from many in the Israeli government.
