Ahead of their heavyweight titles fight on June 20, the Ukrainian world heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko and Briton heavyweight contender David Haye met today at a press conference held inside the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
Both combatants met to promote their highly expected world heavyweight titles fight that will take place inside a soccer stadium of Bundesliga club Schalke 04.
Wearing a T-shirt that features a caricature of him holding the chopped-off heads of the Klitschko brothers, Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, the current WBC heavyweight champion, David Haye, a former undisputed cruiserweight champion, declared war on the Klitschko’s brothers.
Very confident, David said that on June 20, people are going to see the beginning of a legend. “I am not coming over to pick up a pay cheque like the rest of Wladimir's opponents,” states David Haye.
David Haye vows to defeat Wladimir Klitschko first and then, Vitali Klitschko.
Wladimir Klitschko, who will defend his IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles against David Haye, however, said that David Haye will pay the price for his disrespectful behavior to Klitschko brothers.
"I will knock David Haye out in round twelve," stated Klitschko. "I understand he is a young and insolent man. I would give him some advice to control his emotions and save them for the ring. I will give him a lesson."
The two combatants posed together inside the huge soccer stadium AufSchalke.
