Actress Whoopi Goldberg says her friend Patrick Swayze is doing fine and handling life one day at a time. To quell his death rumors, she said "he doesn’t have an expiration date."

Whoopi says she owes Patrick Swayze for her Oscar Award winning performance in Ghost movie.
Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg starred in the movie “Ghost” together. She is currently in the UK promoting a Broadway-type musical show based on her hit comedy “Sister Act” on London’s West End.
She told the British TV show GMTV that Patrick Swayze is doing just like what others are doing -- taking life one day at a time.
He does not have an expiration date on his backside – none of us do – we just know at some point it's going to happen and that's how he's looking at it.
Despite having a serious pancreatic cancer, Swayze is participating in various projects, and has a new TV show Beast on A&E, which has received positive reviews so far. You can watch the full episodes of “Beast” here.
Goldberg added that he is busy with his life despite the illness and marveled at her friend’s energy to work.
"But, you know, he's got a new TV show going, he's, you know, he’s just walking forward. So he's in good spirits. He's thin, but he's in good spirits."
Regarding her new musical show, she is very excited about it.
"I love musicals because I think everyone wants to sometimes – going down the street – just burst into song and just start dancing down the street, which occasionally I do do."
