It was a bitter pill for 15 employees at Kaiser Permanente Hospital, who got the ax for snooping into Octo-Mom Nadia Suleman’s medical records.
Curiosity got the better of the employees at the Bellflower, California, hospital where Suleman gave birth to the Super Eight Pack of kids on Jan. 26, who searched hospital computer files to read up on her medical history without her permission.
Jim Anderson,
Kaiser spokesman, said:
…the violations of health care privacy laws were reported to the state Department of Public Health.
In addition to the fifteen who were fired, eight others were disciplined for accessing Suleman’s files.
Hospital officials said:
…they do not think any information was shared with the media.
