article imageAtheists Teach How to Be an Effective Evangelist

By Carol Forsloff     Mar 8, 2009 in World
Evangelism is growing, declared a Christian missionary less than three years ago. Indeed it has been declared the fastest growing movement in the world, in spite of what Wiccans, tongue in cheek, had to say. But atheism has its evangelism also.
A series of YouTube videos is devoted to teaching atheism through an evangelistic approach. This means an emphasis on the emotional side of the issue with fervor and facts. One need only listen to one of these educational pieces to get the idea that the approach might be slightly dull, and a bit winded, but nevertheless likely interesting to believers. Perhaps it does compare with the missionary experiences of the Christian.
Nevertheless, the Christians are fighting back the atheists' evangelistic spirit with tracts of their own to teach those who have strayed or were never on the path to salvation after all. A series of question-and-answer pieces along with fervent and passionate folk who can speak to the intellectual and philosophical nature of some of atheism's arguments are what some Christian groups believe can help the effort to mission to this group. The information for witnessing can be found here.
In the race for souls, may the best group win, might be the mantra of those who stand and watch the groups battle it out to the End.
