The Los Angeles District Attorney Office has charged singer Chris Brown with felony assault and making criminal threats in the felonies for allegedly attack on his girlfriend. He is expected to be arraigned this afternoon.
Chris Brown will appear in the Los Angeles court this afternoon and will be arraigned on two charges, one for “assault likely to cause great bodily injury” and the second for “making criminal threats.”
The felony complaint was filed Thursday morning and identifies the victim as “Robyn F.” Rihanna’s full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
The district attorney’s spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons
told AP that if Brown is convicted, he will either get probation for four years or eight months in prison.
Los Angeles police
arrested Chris Brown on Feb. 8 but released him on $50,000 bail.
After the incident, Brown and Rihanna got
back together and there is a rumor now that they will
get married.
Even though they are together, the D.A. has enough evidence to charge Chris Brown with these two felonies.
People magazine
revealed notes from a detective from the scene of the incident that say Brown and Rihanna had a huge argument after Rihanna saw a text message from another girl in Brown’s phone. Brown allegedly punched her on the mouth and put her in a headlock. He also allegedly threatened to kill her.
Rihanna also gave these statements to detectives, which will be likely used to prosecute Brown, even though Rihanna will refuse to testify.
