Dutch project developer Matthijs Duiven has just opened a piano bar in Coconut Grove, Miami. That's two pianos, drums, and music-loving public. It's a 'bar' but you can take your whole family there for Sunday brunches to listen to the 'duelling pianos'.
Yet the economic climate couldn't be worse: every month, some hundred companies go belly-up in the Sunshine State right now.
The Crazy Pianos concept was exported from the Netherlands by its inventor Duiven - who says the world-famous Coconut Grove is exactly the right place to start up such a unique place. see
They're opening up on April 1. Is this some kind of elaborate joke then? Not really, says Duiven.
"Good businesses aren't all that troubled by the crisis here. There's very few places with live entertainment like ours and we'll be pretty unique.'
That's a fact: Crazy Pianos will be opened seven days a week from 11:00 am till 3:00 am -- and features Sunday brunch with dueling pianos for families and their youngsters.
"It's a great place to spend Sundays with the entire family, see a complimentary live music show, have great food and fun for all ages,' says Duiven. see
