Woman's hair weave stops bullet, saves life

A woman from Kansas had a miraculous escape after a bullet fired at her got jammed in hair weave. She was uninjured other than having a bit of a headache.
Briana Bonds, 20, was shot at point blank by her ex-boyfriend in the Kansas city area on Wednesday. She was leaving an store in her car when a man approached her and told her that her ex-boyfriend still loved her. She replied that she no longer loved him and within seconds she heard gunshots. She allegedly saw her ex-boyfriend walking toward the back of her car firing a handgun. She sped away in her car as her back window shattered.
The man fired five shots at her. She initially thought the bullets had missed her, but later found one tangled in her hair weave. She is unharmed and told NBC:
I believe he was trying to kill me, I think he was on something. I now believe the weave paused the bullet, and didn't let it go any further. Really I think God was in my passenger seat. He protected me.
The ex-boyfriend, Juan Kemp, 28, and the second suspect were both taken into custody. She had recently ended an eight-month relationship with Kemp.
