Telstra infrastructure badly Damaged by Bushfire

Australia's devastating bushfires has caused major damage to the telecommunications major Telstra. Earlier agencies reported of a devastating bushfire that swept though Victoria and caused unimaginable casualties.
Australia's reportedly worst ever bushfires has not limited its effect on huge number of casualties. As per the latest reports the bushfires has reportedly caused a major damage on the infrastructure of telecom major Telstra. The damage, as the reports suggest, is widespread and hence, will take a considerable span of time for the company to recover. The reports while quoting the CEO of the organization, Mr. Sol Trujillo, stated that beside human casualties Australia's worst ever natural disaster caused badly damaging thousands of connections. The reports further stated that the bushfires caused major damage to the Integrating Office Communications Server. The wired and wireless voice and broadband infrastructure of Telstra have been hit badly by the fires, the reports stated while quoting Mr. Trujillo.
Further, Mr. Trujillo reportedly stated that the immense human tragedy of Victoria’s bushfires had shocked all Australians. He added while saying that on behalf of Telstra, he wished to offer deepest sympathies to those who lost their family, friends as well as homes, as the reports point out. He went saying that the bushfires had also caused substantial damage to Telstra’s telephone exchange as well as base station infrastructure and finally the cabling. Detailed reports point out that thousands of phone lines and broadband Internet connections remained down due to this mishap.
According to the CEO of Telstra, the full extent of the damage would not be known till the access to those areas was opened up, as stated by the reports.
