Google launched its Google Ocean, an extension of the Google Earth. The program will assist web users in exploring the ocean, virtually, with innumerable images.
Google launched its Google Ocean, the long awaited reported extension of the Google Earth. The program will reportedly assist the web users in virtually exploring the underwater with thousands of images. Some experts reportedly stated further that the program would help in mapping the seabed. The web-users throughout the world were reportedly waiting with anxiousness as the program will allow them exploring the underwater landscapes with innumerable photographs.
The program is reportedly all set to get included in the latest version of Google Earth. According to reports the program will allow users for swimming around numerous underwater volcanoes, watching videos in relation to exotic marine life, reading the nearby shipwrecks, contributing photographs and finally watching previously unseen footage of various historic ocean expeditions. Further, as the reports say, innumerable clippings of animals such as polar bears, beluga whales, sea urchins and even the king penguins different award winning shows such as, Planet Earth and The Blue Planet, would be available in the program.
While detailing their reports, the agencies stated that Google Earth combined satellite images, maps as well as the information for allowing web users to explore various streets and cities throughout the world. In an interesting statistics, it has come out recently, that the program has been downloaded 500 million times after its introduction in 2005.
