According to
news sources, a priest has been summoned to the new £334 million (that’s about $670 million US dollars) hospital facility to perform the rite of exorcism to “see off” the spirit that wanders through the hospital’s wards and corridors. Senior manager Debbie Butler wrote in an email to staff:
“I'm not sure how many of you are aware that some members of staff have reported seeing a ghost. I'm taking it seriously as the last thing I want is staff feeling uneasy at work. I also don't want to scare anyone any more than necessary, but felt it was best I made you all aware of the situation and what we are doing about it. I've spoken to the Trust's chaplain and she is going to arrange for someone from the cathedral to exorcise the department.”
The exorcism at the Royal Hospital, which was built on the site of the former Derby City General Hospital, is expected to occur within days. The original facility dated back to the 1920s, and some ghost experts believe that the ghost might be that of a Roman soldier who was killed on that spot. Then again, is he really there or is the hospital staff indulging in hallucinogens?
Well, maybe only The Shadow knows for sure because this type of thing is hard to believe without seeing. Still, there are many forces and planes of existence in this vast cosmos and who’s to say that they don’t collide every once in a while?
The Shadow, guys. That’s who.
Go shiver and…figure.
