Israel is back to air attacks in Gaza. Tanks are once more moving on the Gaza Strip. The new offense comes after a Palestinian attack by militants killed an Israeli soldier.
After fighting in Khan Younis Israeli troops returned to the border hours later. It was the worst violence since the ceasefire was declared by both sides.
Aid conveys are again being prevented from entering the Gaza Strip by Israeli military.
The fighting took place after an Israeli soldier was killed by an explosive device planted on the Israeli side of the border. The explosion was filmed by the militants who had deliberately planted the device.
During the attack by Israel a farmer was killed. Two others were wounded during an air strike.
The border has been closed stopping aid that is needed by tens of thousands in Gaza.
