Two Chinese Penguins Marry: No Shoes or Rice Thrown

By M Dee Dubroff     Jan 25, 2009 in Lifestyle
China’s Wuhan East Lake Ocean World was the scene of the recent wedding of two black-footed penguins. The happy couple was formally united in the ties that bind in a ceremony attended by those dearest to them. Read on, but leave your tuxedo at home.
According to news sources, Little Brat and his bride, Little Beauty, were in no need of tuxedos as that attire reflects their natural state. Aquarium staff compensated with some special flourishes. The groom wore a tie and the bride was dressed in a red blouse as they stepped into their icy wedding room to the music of the Wedding March.
The East Lake Ocean World Park is located in Wuhan, which is the capital of central China's Hubei Province. Many tourists are drawn to this beautiful area known for its lush landscape and unique gardens. East Lake is also renowned for being the largest lake within a city in China and is located on the southern bank of the Yangtze River.
The penguins enjoyed a lovely reception blessed with the company of friends and well-wishers and they were served their favorite dish; spring fish.
Kudos and happy life to the couple.
