Limbaugh Attacks Early, Says He Hopes Obama Fails

Rush Limbaugh makes a lot of money because people cater to him. They listen to his diatribes and support his show, in great numbers. Today he says he wants Barack Obama to fail.

If Obama fails, the country goes down. So Limbaugh would rather have his say, and his publicity and audience, than what is good for the United States, if we consider the fact that the President is working for the whole country. He made his statement as the United States and much of the world celebrated Barack Obama’s inauguration as President of the United States. Limbaugh, like Anne Coulter, flourishes because he has strongly voiced views which he states in harsh, high profile language. At one time Limbaugh made fun of Michael J. Fox' Parkinson’s disease by mimicking the movements. Was he chastised by the networks? Not at all ; he continues to say what is on his mind, apparently without repercussions. Supporters continue to encourage him by putting his name on bumper stickers to declare that “Rush is Right.” Newspaper reports the Limbaugh statement about hoping Obama will fail one day after the inauguration, on Wednesday, January 21. This is what he said,

So I’m thinking of replying to the guy, “Okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.” (interruption) What are you laughing at? See, here’s the point. Everybody thinks it’s outrageous to say. Look, even my staff, “Oh, you can’t do that.” Why not? Why is it any different, what’s new, what is unfair about my saying I hope liberalism fails? Liberalism is our problem. Liberalism is what’s gotten us dangerously close to the precipice here. Why do I want more of it? I don’t care what the Drive-By story is. I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long: “Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails.” Somebody’s gotta say it.

The list of Limbaugh’s rants against Obama is long. His high-profile controversies took a major swing when he played several times the “Barack, the Magic Negro” song. He also said that Obama should have Secret Service based on Clinton, Inc. These statements, however, weren’t backed up by specific evidence, outside of his opinions. In November 2008 Limbaugh called the current recession the Obama recession. So apparently Limbaugh had already planned to blame the financial collapse on Obama before he took office.. Will Limbaugh continue with his patterns? Likely, so if he continues to receive the popular support and advertisers he has enjoyed so far.
