Op-Ed: Manchester City Offers Crazy Cash for Kaka

Famous Brazilian footballer Kaka was offered an incredible sum of money to join Manchester City. The Abu Dhabi-owned club says they will get Kaka "at all costs."

The price tag: 103 million pounds, which is more than $190 million CDN. No, it is not the price of a house, or an executive jet, it is the price an English football team is willing to pay for the Brazilian footballer Kaka. Manchester City (not United) are now owned by a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family and have been promised unlimited amounts of money to make them the greatest football (soccer) team in the world. Not only are they paying this incredible amount, but they are also going to pay him almost $1 million CDN per week. This guy is 26-years-old, he likely has five top-level footballing years left, so he will earn around $250 million CDN during his football career. I am not sure whether he will make Manchester City the best team in the world, but I am off to see if he is married!
