A deputy working in the Caylee Anthony case has been reassigned. An investigation has begun concerning how he responded to a tip about the woods where Caylee was found.
Deputy Richard Cain of the Orange County Sheriff's Office has been removed from his uniform duties for the time being. In August meter reader Roy Kronk phoned the deputy about the woods near where Caylee lived. Cain is said to have given a short shrift into checking out those woods.
Kronk is said to have called the deputy repeatedly. Those calls appear not to have been taken seriously enough by Deputy Cain.
Young Caylee's remains were found in those very woods. Kronk discovered a bag with a skull when he entered the woods in December to relieve himself.
Casey Anthony has been charged with the murder of young Caylee.
