Baby's corpse dumped in hospital trash

By Chris V. Thangham     Jan 6, 2009 in Crime
A still-born baby’s corpse was thrown out along with other trash at a New Jersey City hospital. Police are searching for the body in garbage dump areas in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
According to the Christ Hospital in New Jersey, the baby was stillborn on Dec. 21 and the body was placed in the hospital morgue for the baby’s family to collect at a later time.
But when a funeral home employee, on behalf of the mother, came to pick up the body on Jan 2, there was no baby.
Hospital authorities believe the baby’s corpse was discarded in the trash. However, they didn’t give any reason as to why the baby ended up there.
Kalynn Moore, the mother of the still-born baby, is extremely upset with the hospital’s handling of her baby.
The police are now searching for the baby in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania garbage dump areas.
