The Israeli airstrikes into the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip has brought forth international condemnation. It has definitely got Iran’s attention.
During the United States Presidential elections, one of the hot topics would be Iran. On top of that, it expanded towards the tensions between Iran and Israel. On Saturday, December 27, Israel began its airstrikes into the Gaza Strip. So far, hundreds have been killed while hundreds while hundreds more have been critically injured.
It has sparked outrage with the Arab nations. The United Nations held an emergency meeting on Libya’s behalf. There is the chance that Syria and Lebanon can be thrown into the mix. It has definitely gotten Iran’s attention. It is safe to say that Iran has been officially thrown into the mix.
This could be a catalyst that could link Iraq and the airstrikes into Gaza. In regards to the Iraq War, Iran is a concerning factor.
So far, the Iranian Government has set up a court to try the Israelis for the airstrikes. Also, Iran does not recognize the state of Israel. Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader Ayatollah is siding with the Palestinians. With that said, Iran wants to try the Israeli government. Overall, that should be quite interesting.
At the same time, Iranian students busted into the British Embassy in Tehran. They accuse Britain of supporting the airstrikes. However, Britain had criticized Israel for the airstrikes. There were protests outside the Israeli Embassy in London.
In a nutshell, Iran is definitely looking at the situation in the Gaza Strip.
