Long Island Eagle Scout Earns All 121 Badges

Shawn Goldsmith of Oceanside, New York has earned each of the 121 merit badges that a scout can be granted by the Boy Scouts of America.
The final badge was for bugling came just in the nick of time, Goldsmith turned 18 after the November feat. His grandmother had encouraged the teen to take on the task of obtaining all of the badges. She died shortly before the last badges were earned.
An Eagle Scout is required to amass 21 badges to get the ranking.
Goldsmith was awarded the final badges on December 19. He is a first year student at Binghamton University. He hopes to became a businessman and politician.
