By Chris V. Thangham     Dec 28, 2008 in Politics
First lady Laura Bush in her interview with Fox News doesn’t agree with the critics’ view that her husband’s presidency was a failure.
Laura Bush gave an interview to Fox News that will be aired on Sunday. In the interview she gave her opinions about her husband’s eight years in office and said it was not a failure as some critics had called.
Even though 75 percent of the public are glad to see Bush leave the office, Laura Bush doesn’t agree with them and told Fox News that she doesn’t feel there is any need for her to respond to their views.
She like her husband feel that history will judge favorably his presidency.
Laura Bush said since 9/11 there has not been a single attack in the U.S. and that her husband’s administration was successful in removing Saddam Hussein from power and liberating millions of people in Afghanistan and Iraq from oppressive governments.
She praised Bush for his philanthropy work for millions of people in sub-Saharan Africa.
Just like the mother feels proud of her child, whatever he or she does, the wife also feels that way for a husband she loves and it is apparent from Laura Bush’s views.
