AT&T Sells Refurbished iPhone 3G 8GB For $99 and 16GB For $199

Apple was originally rumored to sell the iPhone for $99 but till that one turns true, AT&T will be selling refurbished iPhone 3G for $99, available only for new iPhone customers.

Apple and Wal-Mart were originally rumored to sell $99 iPhones but instead Wal-Mart will begin selling iPhones from Sunday for $197. AT&T will be offering $99 pricing for the refurbished iPhones. The refurbished iPhones are as good as the new ones and it comes with a contract. For those who are not familiar with refurbished phones, they are the following:

Refurbished phones are previously owned devices that have been unused or lightly used and returned during the 30-day trial period. Each refurbished phone is independently quality tested and loaded with the latest software to meet current factory standards. Some refurbished iPhone 3G devices will have minor scratches.
