Op-Ed: Atheism Makes You 'the fool'

"The fool says in his heart there is no God" -Psalm 14:1. It seems the Atheist has no compassion for any but himself, rathering the earth be destroyed than see Christ rule in anyone's life.

I consider Ray Comfort a friend. His ministry, LivingWaters.com, has been a constant source of encouragement since I learned how to effectively share my faith in Jesus from the teachings in his videos. So I was saddened to see that his blog, raycomfortfood.blogspot.com, has been turned by the haters of God into a site for every repulsive comment an Atheist can think of. Every day is a struggle to even read the trash they post. What is Ray Comfort's crime? Ray dares care enough to tell the truth that Jesus came to save you from the punishment you would deserve if you die in your sin; that you will burn in Hell and the Eternal Lake of Fire, forever, if you die rejecting the Mercy of your Creator. For that the Atheists post vitriol on his site every day. Thankfully Ray deletes any entries that are truly vile. The recent "Why believe in God? Just be good for goodness sake!" Christmas season campaign is just an example of the silliness of the atheist mind. If atheists truly believed there was no God they wouldn't care what anyone believed. Think about it. Atheists believe the most fit survives. So then, why would they be upset about anyone whom they consider "dull" or "dim", as Richard Dawkins calls Christians, believing in God? It would ensure their own survival, right? Why? Because they, as the Bible says all men do, know God does indeed exist, even if they do debate it, looking very foolish doing so. The atheist is merely proving the scripture true that says,"The fool says in his heart there is no God." So why would anyone want to be considered a fool? Why would anyone want to deny God's existence? The truly foolish says that what he doesn't believe isn't true. I've heard this twisted logic over and over from seemingly intelligent people after witnessing to over 7000 individuals. The premise of atheism is to believe man is alone in the world, subject to his own desires. But the true definition of man who rejects God, that nature itself shows clearly exists (Romans 1:20): Atheism is like a brutish child screaming "I WANNA!" at God. God just laughs him to scorn. If you want to have your own way with God you rush to your own destruction. The Atheist that mocks Ray Comfort is just like a child that pulls away from a rescuer trying to save him from a burning building and is later found dead. Ray Comfort is merely trying to be a good Christian and tell you how to escape the wrath to come. Scorn him at your own peril Atheists as John Piper says: "So here is the great lesson to be learned: the reason the mind evades, twists, distorts, manipulates and suppresses the truth of God is not mainly that we are mentally deficient, but because we are morally deficient. We suppress the Light of God's glory and power because we love the darkness of our own independence. We love our sins, our self-determination, and therefore we suppress the Truth that God is God and that we are to depend on him and live for his glory. And this, Paul says in Romans 1:18, is why the wrath of God is being poured out. This suppression of the truth of his glory and his power and his deity and his goodness, because of our love affair with unrighteousness, makes him furious. And we should tremble."
