The Britney appeal may be hard for older folk to understand, but they are watching anyway. Those older folk are worried because some believe the girl might not be ready for the night on the town after emotional upsets in 2007.
Videos showing Britney nearly naked have been taken down on YouTube. Only fan material remains; a recent one in December contains birthday wishes for our girl who still could be in trouble. Psychologists agree that care after collapse is important. Did she have enough help and is the media provoking more problems? Will she have a Merry Christmas?
The Britney Spears collapse of 2007 and her collapse before Christmas revealed that we put up our gods and goddesses and love to tear them down through our media, according to USA Today. Entertainers are unique. They have the glam our young folks want, the seemingly free and easy lifestyle, the money and the attention. But too much of that can take its toll, as the myriad of past movie stars and their downfall has shown and as even Britney’s own mental health concerns revealed.

The hero worship of Britney, and the experience of other movie stars who have lived in the limelight, show that the light may be more than folks can take over the long period especially if there are mental health problems. That could also be true even if she is a regular girl who is overcome by too much. A Social Care blog worries about the consequences to someone with too much hype and not enough true mental health treatment. Writers are clear that Britney, when the celebrity status is taken away, is just another girl with problems, problems concerning seeing her children, exploitation by adults, and problems with substance abuse. These are red flags for more issues ahead, experts say.
What happens to others in movie history with an early push and sex up front.gives history lessons. How about Liza, as in Minelli, appealing and sexy in movies, dance and song over the years?. "(Get) While the Getting is Good" seems to tell a story about what can happen when there is pressure on life, a life that has had problems, some of which might not be resolved. Liza has had weight problems drug use and men issues, just like her mother, Judy who died early. Was that death resolved? Mental health experts worry about how young people follow parental patterns when death issues haven’t been resolved. Liza’s collapse during a Christmas performance in Sweden a year ago brought back sad memories of her mother, who always seemed to be collapsing. Like Judy, Liza befuddles the media. As one reporter said, after what seemed to be an interview that showed Liza’s issues, “I see the same woman on TV and conclude that I really did meet Liza Minnelli, but who she is or what she is like as a person I have no idea.”
A shrine on the web is dedicated to Anna Nicole Smith. While many of us bemoaned the lengthy news coverage of every part of her early death, the death of her son before her, and the custody of her new-born in a court battle that captured the nation’s attention, how many of the fans considered that fame was destroying a person. That’s the real story. Greed, gluttony, flamed by fans can bring people down.
Does that mean folks can’t have entertainment wonders? Nay, not so, the experts say. The issue, according to one who has studied the issue and worries about how media treats mental health problems, is simply don’t put them on pedestals and attribute special powers to them. They are folks with faults and foibles but are likely shades of gray as care professionals remind us.
Pushing sex and Britney might be entertaining in the short run, and perhaps she’ll be okay; but history suggests caution because an early demise would likely not be entertaining for her family if she isn’t well enough to live a healthy life in a frenzy that seems never to end.
