Serious Risks to Obama: Life, Health and Political Scandals Like Blagojevich

At the time of the Democratic Convention authorities intercepted a plot to kill Obama. Apparently the thugs didn’t get far, but they were armed and ready, according to authorities. There was also an incident reported in detail where an area had to be completely cleared due to a bomb scare. The stress of the Presidency can create health problems for the person in office, and political attacks that proliferate, as have already occurred over the Blagojevich scandal, can threaten concentration and focus of Obama during difficult times and risk his effectiveness as President of the United States. People are concerned about all this and have expressed these worries as the inauguration date approaches.
In October a group of skinheads was intercepted on their way to kill Obama, something they planned to do during his acceptance speech at the time of the Democratic Convention. As reported by MSNBC, two neo-Nazis had planned to assassinate Barack Obama and at the same time kill 88 African Americans, as stated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The men, Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tenn., and Paul Schlesselman 18, of Helena-West Helena, Ark., now in custody, according to authorities were ready to sacrifice their lives in an attempt to carry out their mission and were on their way to do it before being captured.
Threats against Obama's life since the election have been greater than those against any other President about to take office, according to a follow up

report by MSNBC.
Health issues during the Presidency may not grip the man on the job early but seem to take their toll over time. It wasn’t long after President Clinton left office that he had an operation on his heart to prevent a serious heart attack. Medical experts said in 2004 at the time of the operation that Clinton’s condition had not developed overnight, which likely means that Clinton may have been in a downward spiral on matters of health sometime before he left office. His potentially serious heart attack, that was prevented by the operation, didn’t take place overnight. Folks also can’t miss the white hair Clinton now has, that seems to have developed early on a man considered young, health and vibrant during his tenure in office before George Bush took over in 2001.
Political attacks over matters of Reverend Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers, and the suspicions from the fringe that Obama is a closet Muslim preparing to lead the charge in taking over America, came one after another during the time of Obama’s run for the Presidency. Now, even before Obama takes the office of the Presidency, he is being associated by some as being involved somehow in the Blagojevich scandal involving Obama’s vacated Senate Seat.
Concerns over Obama’s safety was expressed and discussed during the time he ran for the Presidency increased after Sarah Palin came on the scene and whipped crowds into a frenzy, as some folks even screamed, “Kill him.”
As Obama is being warned of a huge attempt by Al Qaeda immediately after he takes office the threats to his personal safety, health and political status are likely of concern to those around him. Threats to his personal safety are coming from extremist groups like white supremacy groups within the United States, according to Internet news sites like Alternet. The Blagojevich scandal is the most recent diversion. Those who have read the full indictment of the Governor of Illinois report there is nothing in it to support Obama’s willingness to be involved with the shenanigans taking place. On the other hand, those involved in the process of transition are likely worried that the scandal not monopolize Obama's concerns and be of the nature that would to take attention from the task at hand, protecting the integrity, security and economy of the United States.
