This is about predictions from an undefeated boxer who picked up Manny Paquiao to win over Oscar de la Hoya in a boxing fight billed as the "Dream Match" to be held today at MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada
Undefeated boxing sensation Edwin Valero said that Manny Pacquiao will win by knock out because Oscar de la Hoya did not train hard for this fight.
This prediction was made by the 27 year old undefeated super featherweight champion as he revealed that Oscar did not prepare well for the “Dream Match”. He observed that Oscar de la Hoya lacks serious training contrary to published reports that he trained well for his fight against Pacquiao,
“Oscar doesn’t like to work out” Valero revealed through an interpreter after the official weigh-in last Friday. Compared to de la Hoya he said that Manny Pacquiao trained harder for this fight as he saw clips of Pacquiao’s training. Valero said that Oscar doesn’t want to run either and for this he said, “Pacquiao is going to knock Oscar out”.
Valero said his observations came as he was signed up to join the Oscar de la Hoya team to get a “feel” of what its like to go up against a hard-hitting southpaw.
Earlier, de la Hoya revealed that Victor Ortiz, his other sparring mate, gave him the shiner. He even thanked Ortiz for the black eye that he got, saying it jolted him to realize that he had to train more for the fight.
He is lying, Valero said. I got kicked out of Big Bear because of that. I only spurred with Oscar for eight rounds because after those eight rounds. Oscar didn’t want to spar with me anymore”. He added, “I hurt Oscar a lot”
Valero recently vacated his WBA title to move to the lightweight division and hoping to have a crack at lightweight title of Manny Pacquiao. He fought 24 times in his professional boxing career and won all those fights by knock out.
The Oscar de la Hoya-Manny Pacquiao boxing fight billed as the “Dream Match” is scheduled for today at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Manny Pacquiao is the underdog while Oscar de la Hoya is favored to win because of his superiority in reach, weight and height.
