According to a German magazine, the details of twenty-one million German bank accounts was bought off the black market. It has caused a stir amongst authorities.
You may want to keep a closer a closer eye on your bank account for any abnormal activity. If you have a bank account in Germany, you may want to pay even close attention.
The German magazine Wirtschaftswoche reported that a CD-ROM was up for sale on the black market. Black market equates to buying stuff illegally. The contents of the CD-ROM do quality as black market material.
This disc is supposed to have the bank name along with account numbers for at least twenty-one million people. So far, the editors managed to get their hands on the CD. However, the editors are shocked that such an item exists on the black market.
Authorities are on the case. In the mean time, you may want to keep closer attention to your bank account activity. If you have an account in a German bank, your account information could be on that CD-ROM.
Regardless of what bank your money is, this incident does entice people to keep an eye on their account activity.
