In a tale befitting the worst nightmare, an Australian woman woke to find 14 carpet pythons keeping her company in her bedroom! Where they came from remains a mystery, but read on and shiver anyway.
According to new sources, Esther Honegger, a self-employed driving instructor from Fannie Bay, Northern Territories woke up to find 14 snakes in her bedroom. She said:
“I thought 'Oh my God, how many of them are there? I hate snakes and as I walked backwards and forwards I would see another one. They were everywhere; there was one curled around my bed head, another around the bottom of the chair, and when I went outside, there was one in the hallway, another on the railing and another on the step. It was like I was having a nightmare. Everywhere I looked, they just kept popping up."
When she called friends for help, sadly, they did not believe her. (She should have dialed an enemy instead). She then called the police who told her to contact the 24-hour snake hotline. A snake catcher managed to catch seven of the young snakes and thought he was finished. The next day he received a frantic call telling him she found five more. Later that same day, she found another two!
It is not known where the snakes came from.
Have a nice night and don’t worry about checking under the bed. If they are there, they will let you know!
