When US President-elect Barack Obama takes office on January 2009, his daughters are not off the hook with chore duty. They are expected to still do their chores.
It is official, 7-year-old Sasha and 10-year-old Malia Obama are not off the hook with chore duty. United States Democratic President-elect Barack Obama, set to take office on January 20, 2009, said that his daughters will still have their chores to do.
Obama promised the daughters that they would have a new puppy. One of the daughters’ chores would include picking up after the puppy. That would include picking up the puppy’s poop.
He explains that he does not want the stuff left on the White House lawn.
Obama said: “We’ve been talking to them about that. We don’t want litter on the White House lawns. They’re going to have to do their job.”
However, that is not the only chore the daughters will have to do. They will be expected to help out around the White House. Plus, they will have to clean their own rooms and make their own beds.
Also, they are not excluded from doing their home work everyday.
One of the first things Obama is doing is setting boundaries and ground rules for his own children. It looks like that life in the White House for the daughters may only be a bit different from their own home.
