Indian government sources claim that Pakistani nationals might have been involved in the terror attacks in Mumbai. The attacks have left at least 100 dead and more than 270 others injured.
The sources told
Indian Express that they have some evidence that indicate the terrorists, who
attacked Mumbai yesterday, may have come to Mumbai by boats from Pakistan.
The information was gathered from captured terrorists.
Another
intelligence report also confirmed this finding. They said the terrorists came via sea routes from Karachi in Pakistan. They found a discarded barge on Shrivardhan coast in Raigad district in Maharashtra state four months ago. The barge might have carried explosives but the customs and naval personnel didn’t find any.
There are also reports that Mumbai police may have impounded the four boats allegedly used by the terrorists.
The local state government officials, however, are not commenting about the story. They want to keep it confidential until the investigation is fully complete.
