CBS TV news anchor Katie Couric told Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin that if she wants to run successfully the next time, she should learn more about the government.
Governor Sarah Palin gave a number of TV interviews lately, prompting many to wonder whether she plans to run for the GOP nomination in 2012. Katie Couric wishes Palin well but gave her some advice before she contemplates to run again.
The political pundits say Palin’s interview with Katie Couric was a turning point in the 2008 elections. After that interview, the ratings for Palin went down, while Couric’s career took off again. Sarah Palin later had to defend herself by saying Couric annoyed her in that interview. The interview highlighted many of Palin’s drawbacks in governing the nation.
Couric attended the Glamour Magazine’s 2008 Women of the Year Awards dinner at the Essex House yesterday. She told Page Six of New York Daily News that if Palin wants to run again in 2012, she should learn more about politics:
"I think she should keep her head down, work really hard and learn about governing. But I'm not anyone to give advice to anyone about anything."
