article imageOp-Ed: Obama suppresses information from own site

By Richard Bass     Nov 8, 2008 in Politics
Obama places security measures on in an attempt to stop the hemorrhaging of his own information. The hypocrisy of a leader of change.
The biosphere has picked up the slack yet again of a less than astute MSM on Obama's communist policy of "change". The word of Obama's desire for a Required 50 hours of Community Service of school aged children and 100 hours for college students has obviously struck it's cord in the hearts of many and the panic alarm of Obama's staff.
Under the link America Serves on Obama's official site, Office of the President-Elect you will find his plan for Americans to serve their community and get more involved. That in itself isn't a bad idea if it were an initiative from schools and organizations that might would offer extra credits or incentives for volunteers.
Obama has taken the extra step and made this a mandate for all middle and High School students. He has also stated that college students that served 100 hours would receive a REFUNDABLE TAX CREDIT ensuring that the first $4,000 of their tuition was fully paid.
Sorry but how many students will be making enough income to qualify for a $4,000 dollar tax credit under his tax plan? Seems nothing more than smoke and mirrors to me and a con. Surely I have missed something but They seem to leave a few loose ends on the subject as most of Obama's tax cuts are no more than shady tax credits instead.
What I want to point out and question here is the intentions of Obama using children in what is essentially slave labor, and the underhandedness of the Obama team by scrubbing the original text of his own America Serves public site where he stated clearly his intentions of forced labor of school children to do community service which is usually done by volunteers and people who are court ordered to repay the community of a crime they committed rather than going to jail.
In addition Obama and his staff have felt it necessary to implement security measures in order to keep people from quoting his words directly from the site as well as images. If this is the will of our president elect and he is supposed to be the one for change and honesty.. why would he need to constantly change the wording of his plans to a more meandering explanation of his intentions? Why would he not want for his word to get out to the people that may not read his words directly from his site? Why does he hide and lock down his own intentions from being copied and used to verify one statement to the next? It resembles something of a 1940's suppression of information that the likes of Korea and China. Is this what we can expect from an Obama administration hiding the truth and constantly rewording their own words to better suite and smooth the ignorant?
The Original text read in-part as the following: ( And screen shot before the scrubbing job.)
"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year."
As a result of the biosphere spreading this bit around and it having been received with less than enthusiastic attitudes and open arms the Obama staff have changed the wording to the following:
"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students who conduct 100 hours of community service receive a universal and fully refundable tax credit ensuring that the first $4,000 of their college education is completely free. "
Notice that they have removed the word required and replaced it with setting a goal! LOL That is a bit better sounding but does it really changer th interpretation? I still don't see mention of volunteer anywhere in that message.
