Op-Ed: Obama's Election is a Turning Point for America...but What Kind?

Obama's election marks a true turning point in American history alright but not because he's the first black U.S. President. No, the turning point is ideological. We have just elected a man that will jerk us sharply to the left toward socialism/Marxism.

Yes, yes, yes, it's wonderful, fantastic, great, marvelous, etc., that we have come so far in racial equality that a black has been elected president of the United States of America but why this black man? Why a man who was voted the most liberal member of the senate in 2007? Let me repeat that...the MOST LIBERAL member of the senate in 2007. Why a man who sat in a church pew for more than twenty years listening to the racist rantings of Jeremiah Wright and claims he never heard any of the radical sermons that are all over the Internet? Obama is either lying or stupid and I don't think he is stupid. You remember the good reverend Wright don't you? He said, from the pulpit,

"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people," he said in a 2003 sermon. "God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."

Then on the first Sunday after the 9-11 attacks, he said the following from the pulpit,

"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,"

...

"We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

When asked earlier this year about his preacher's comments, Obama said,

"I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial."

Why a man who, during his formative college years, intentionally sought to associate with radicals and Marxists? In his own words, he admitted the following:

"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists."

Okay, Okay enough of his checkered past. Lets take a look at some of choices this would be Messiah will make as President. He has chosen Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff. Emanuel's most infamous quote?

“Since my kids are gone, I can say it: They [Republicans] can go f--- themselves!”

During his acceptance speech Obama said he wanted everyone to resist the temptation to fall back into partisan politics but he has chosen one of the most partisan figures around to serve as chief of staff. Emanuel refers to himself as a “Vince Lombardi Democrat” because he believes that “Winning isn’t everything. It’s the only thing.” He is apparently close to naming John Kerry as Secretary of State. Yes, that's right, John Kerry. Great choice. Here is what John Kerry said about his fellow Vietnam veterans:

"...they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam..."

If you voted for Obama, the keep these words in mind. Shut the hell up!! When the your right to own guns is threatened, shut the hell up. When your taxes go up because the "rich" have been redefined, shut the hell up. When your electricity bill goes up because Obama is taxing electricity generating coal plants out of business in the name of fighting global warming, shut the hell up. When your taxes go up to pay for government funded abortions, shut the hell up. When your taxes go up to pay for "free" health care, shut the hell up. When you can't afford gas because Obama won't let us drill and access the oil that we have under our feet, shut the hell up. When you can't buy anything but a tiny little compact hybrid because large SUVs are enemies of mother earth, shut the hell up. I shudder to think about the national security situation under an Obama presidency. Anyway, you get the idea. One thing for sure. The next four years will be truly historic.
