And now for something completely different, and a little bit silly. Florida has been the scene of some pretty big controversies during an election cycle and it is possible that in 2012, there could be another one. Clothing-optional polling stations.
A nudist community in Florida (of course it is in Florida cuz for damn sure the Land 'O Lakes nudist crew in Minnesota aint gonna be voting in the nude on November 6, 2012) called Caliente Resorts has approached election officials about having a clothing optional polling station. The resort is located in Pasco County, just north of Tampa, Florida.
The supervisor of elections has said that there is nothing written in Florida's state laws that wold prohibit a clothing-optional polling station, but he is somewhat opposed to creating any new precincts before redistricting in 2010.
Swing low, sweet chariot, swing low.
