David Silverberg, managing editor of DigitalJournal.com, is slated to moderate a panel discussion on mobile phone applications at one of Canada's top new media conferences. nextMedia: Monetizing Digital Media takes place in Toronto on Nov. 17 and 18.
Digital Journal -- A renowned new media and tech conference has invited DigitalJournal.com managing editor to moderate a panel event on how companies can best produce and distribute mobile content. nextMedia: Monetizing Digital Media will take over the nightclub Circa in downtown Toronto on Nov. 17 and 18.
The session "Mobile Applications Showcase" will feature major mobile players who can speak on the success of their own applications and offer advice to attendees on how to produce, distribute and monetize mobile content. Sara Diamond, president of the Ontario College of Art & Design, will introduce the panel experts. Speakers include Nader Elm, Senior Director, Strategy & Development, at Rogers Digital Media; Mark Thompson, director of mobile content at The Weather Network; Mark Ruddock, CEO of Viigo; and Sandy Pearl, founding partner at Sweet Caesar Inc.
Silverberg will moderate the panel discussion and facilitate the Q&A session afterward.
Produced by Achilles Media, nextMedia will also feature executives from Google, YouTube, Microsoft, NBC Universal, MySpace Canada, Henderson Bas, Revision3 and many more.
Other sessions focus on monetizing online video, partnering with ad agencies, linking brands with social media sites, media buying in the digital arena, and cross-media lessons to learn from the Beijing Olympics.
