Senator Barack Obama fought back against the GOP for being called a “Socialist”, “Marxist” and “Communist." Obama said he shared toys and sandwiches in Kindergarten so he asked Senator John McCain if that made him a communist?
Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin have been attacking Obama for the past few months, saying he is a socialist and he likes to “spread the wealth around." Palin and McCain have attacked Obama even though both of them have url=http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/261681 t=_blank]followed similar policies.
At a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, Obama told the audience the country has tried George Bush’s way and John McCain’s way (McCain has voted 90 per cent in favor of George Bush’s policies) and it hasn’t worked. He said the McCain campaign knows this, and if they talk about economic woes they will lose the election and so they they change the subject and resort to “name calling."
He told the rally:
That's why he's (McCain) spending these last few days calling me every name in the book. I'm sorry to see my opponent sink so low. Lately, he's called me a socialist for wanting to roll back the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans so we can finally give tax relief to the middle class. By the end of the week, he'll be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in Kindergarten.
Obama also added he shared his peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
If sharing is socialism, which almost every school kid has done, they must be communists as well.
