Taking their cue from the great success of NaNoWriMo, the people at NaBloPoMo want bloggers to blog every day of the month. Bloggers who post everyday in November can win prizes donated by other members.
While NaNoWriMo takes place only in November, NaBloPoMo, (which stands for National Blog Posting Month) takes place every month of the year. NaBloPoMo was started by Eden Marriott Kennedy in November of 2007 as a social network on Ning.
The goal of NaBloPoMo is to get bloggers to post every day for a month. Bloggers can post on their own blogs, or they can post on the site itself. There are prizes awarded randomly to those who have posted every single day during the month of November. NaBloPoMo is also a social networking site; it's a place where bloggers can post photographs and join groups to meet like-minded people.
To help you with the blogging, a monthly theme is posted. Bloggers do not have to follow along if they don't want to but it's there if they need the suggestion.
It is said that the key to getting people to notice your blog is to post frequently. Blogging every day for a month, including weekends, will attract the attention of the search engines and those who search them. It really is a win, win situation.
