article imageOp-Ed: Miami Dolphins Owner Wants To Sell Team Before Obama Tax Hike

By Johnny Simpson     Oct 27, 2008 in Sports
Miami Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga has expressed a desire to sell the team before an Obama election. "He wants to double the capital gains tax, or almost double it," Huizenga said. "I'd rather give it to charity than to him."
I guess Wayne Huizenga isn't all that keen on redistributing wealth, either.
Or what I and many other Americans prefer to call throwing good money after bad. Or pearls before swine. Take your pick.
According to the the SunSentinel.com, Dolphins owner H. Wayne Huizenga said no date has been set for selling up to 45 per cent more of the team to Stephen Ross, but the upcoming election is among the issues weighing on his decision.
Why? Because a Barack Obama administration is expected to mean higher capital-gains taxes.
"He wants to double the capital gains tax, or almost double it," Huizenga said. "I'd rather give it to charity than to him."
Maybe this incident will illustrate to Obama that he needs to nationalize the NFL, too. Can't have this kind of dissent to his Socialize America program.
