Jennifer Hudson's Mother Killed

TMZ is reporting that Jennifer Hudson's mother was found shot dead today in her home in Chicago. There were two victims found at the scene and a neighbor reports that the other victim is Jennifer's brother.

According to one Chicago area television station, the home where the bodies were found was owned by Darnell Donerson, Jennifer Hudson's mother. The medical examiner's office in Cook County reports that a female victim in her 50s was shot in the head and a male 29-year-old was shot in the chest. Preliminary information released by Monique Bond, a Chicago Police spokeswoman is that the shooting is believed to be related to a "domestic disturbance". TMZ is reporting that Hudson's cousin, who lived nearby, was the one who found the bodies and that the second victim is Ms Hudson's brother, Jason. TMZ is also reporting the following: An all points bulletin has been issued for Hudson's 7-year-old nephew who may have been taken from the scene. Jennifer Hudson burst onto the scene after performing on the top rated TV show, American Idol. Ms Hudson was a top ten finalist on Season 3, finishing in 7th place/ Ms Hudson also has a varied movie career and has starred in the following films: The Secret Life of Bees; Sex And The City; Dreamgirls; Winged Creatures and Elmos' Christmas Countdown. On February 25, 2007, Ms Hudson won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie Dreamgirls. The film itself had been up for eight awards, and won two, one to Hudson and the other for Sound Mixing.
