Senator Joe Biden of Delaware, the VP running-mate for Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, praised Colin Powell and attacked Sarah Palin.
In Tacoma, Washington, The VP running-mate for Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, Senator Joe Biden of Delaware, had given praise and thanks towards Colin Powell. Early today, Colin Powell was on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” where he publicly gave his endorsement to Obama.
According to Biden, the endorsement from Powell should put the question to rest in regards of Obama’s ability to be commander-in-chief.
In that respect, Biden said: “With all the three and four star generals, with the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the former National Security Adviser, the former Secretary of State, one of the most respected men who have ever worn the uniform, endorsing Barack Obama over John McCain today, no more questions! Barack Obama will be a commander-in-chief we can all respect!”
After praising Powell, Biden again went on the offensive against Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the VP running-mate for GOP Presidential nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona.
Biden attacked Palin’s “Pro-America” comment once again. Perhaps Palin’s comments may come back and hurt her and in turn McCain before Election Day nears.
Palin made the comment on the night of Thursday, October 16, at a fundraiser in Greensboro, North Carolina. Palin said that the small towns represent real America. She said that the courage and goodness of everyday Americans are found in America’s small towns.
We believe that the best of America is in the small towns that we get to visit, and in the wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard-working, very patriotic, very pro-America areas of this great nation,” Palin said that Thursday night.
That gave Biden ammunition to work with.
Earlier tonight, Biden attacked Palin’s words.
“North Carolina is pro-American but Tacoma is not or Wilmington, Delaware is not?” Biden had asked.
In front of the crowd, Biden said that it does not matter where one lives, what ones skin color is, or what ones religious faith is. He said that they are all Americans, no matter the differences.
We can expect Biden to continue attacking Palin’s Pro-America comment.
