Actress Tina Fey, who portrays Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live (SNL), tells an entertainment magazine that she will leave Earth if the McCain-Palin ticket wins the elections.
Tina Fey has now become an even bigger celebrity than she was on Saturday Night Live. Now with her impeccable
Palin impersonations, her star status has skyrocketed.
With all the accolades, one must think that Tina Fey loves acting as Palin, but unfortunately she doesn’t like to impersonate Palin. She was initially hesitant to come back to SNL after leaving it few years ago to start her own show
30 Rock on NBC, but later she agreed to play Palin on SNL.
She told
TV Guide that she will stop impersonating Palin if McCain and Palin win the election next month.
"We're gonna take it week by week. If she wins, I'm done. I can't do that for four years. And by 'I'm done,' I mean I'm leaving Earth."
And she added the following probably to maintain a diplomatic stance about Palin: "Election time is always good for [SNL] and this is a bonkers election...And that lady is a media star. She is a fascinating person, she's very likeable. She's fun to play, and the two bits with Amy [Poehler], that was super fun."
Palin is planning to appear on the next SNL show as a surprise guest. It will be interesting to see how Palin reacts to Fey’s recent opinion.
