If winning the endorsement of leading newspapers in any indication Barack Obama is doing very well. This weekend the senator has picked up nine newspaper endorsements, including four in swing states.
John McCain hasn't appeared to have gotten one this weekend.

The Wisconsin State Journal backed Bush in 2004 has changed political parties this time around. John McCain was called 'the incredible shrinking man" by the St. Louis daily.

The Blade in Toledo, the Dayton Daily News, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, The Tennessean of Nashville, the Wisconsin State Journal, the Fresno Bee, Contra Costa Times and The Sun of San Bernardino have all placed their backing on Obama as of this weekend.
