Two American journalists that had been listed by the U.S. Embassy as missing have been located. They were arrested in Syria when they crossed the border with the help of smugglers.
The pair were detained when they crossed the border into
Syria. They will be handed over the the U.S. Embassy after "necessary measures" have taken place.
The U.S. Embassy in Damascus has confirmed that two Americans are being held by the Syrian police. The embassy is in the process of confirming the names of those Americans.
Chmela and Luck have been working for the Jordan Times. They were due back in Amman on Saturday. As reported
earlier the pair had been listed as missing after Luck's mother called the embassy concerned her son had not been using a credit card.
